Clear Creek Distillery Description
Founded in 1985, Clear Creek Distillery brings together the tradition of European fruit brandy with the local produce of the Pacific Northwest. Unlike many liqueurs on the market, the Clear Creek products don?t use an artificial flavorings or coloring. They describe their process as ?orchard to glass?, using fresh spring water from Mount Hood, Oregon and fruit grown in local orchards near the distillery. One of the country?s first craft distilleries, Clear Creek has become the standard bearer for authentic, artisanal fruit liqueurs. The process begins with unaged brandy, made from grapes grown in the PNW. They add locally sourced cranberries, grown along the southern coast of Oregon. They press off the juice from the fruit and lightly sweeten it. Tasting Notes: Deliciously tart, this liqueur is true to the essence of the fruit. It shows a beautiful crimson color in the glass. On the palate, it?s tart but fruity with just a touch of sweetness. Lovely on its own, it makes a great alternative to a Kir Royale (just add bubbly)! Or try it in a holiday cocktail, perfect for Thanksgiving. Cranberry Sauced 2oz Brandy 1oz Clear Creek Cranberry Liqueur 2 dashes Orange Bitters *Combine ingredients in a pitcher with ice. Stir for 30 seconds. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a bit or cloved-piece of orange zest.
