Meletti Description
The Meletti name is synonymous with traditional Italian liqueurs. From Anisette to Limoncello and pretty much everywhere in between, the Meletti line of spirits celebrates the rich tradition of homemade liqueurs.
The company was founded in 1870 by Silvio Meletti. Meletti’s mother ran a small store and her specialty was a homemade anise liquor. Inspired by his mother, Silvio learned her recipes and studied French essays on distillation. After perfecting his technique, Anisetta Meletti was born!
The product gained recognition throughout Italy and by the early 1900’s, it made its U.S. debut. Nearly 150 years since the company was founded, Meletti is the standard for traditional Italian spirits.
Tasting Notes: Their Limoncello is exception. Flavored with essential oil from lemon peels, it perfectly balances the tart citrus notes with a hit of sweetness. Bold and fresh with authentic lemon flavor, serve chilled as an after dinner treat or mix in a refreshing spring cocktail.
1 1/2oz. Citrus Vodka
1/2oz. Limoncello
1/2oz. Aperol
1oz. Fresh Orange Juice
*Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a highball glass with ice. Top with soda water and garnish with a swath of orange peel.
