Thick, oily entry, sweet with some spicy dryness, with the citrus playing off the vanilla which tingles and coats the tongue with a nice spicy mix of flavor. Cinnamon, nutmeg, anise, bitter orange and some other spices provide and interesting heat and dryness to end the finish, successfully avoiding the tendency towards a cloying ending seen with so many other liqueurs of a similar profile.
This vanilla-citrus liqueur is a good, complex sweetener for cocktails made with brandy, whiskey or other dark spirits. The amber liquid has a warm caramel aroma. On the palate, orange is the dominant flavor, warmed up with a bit of vanilla on the boozy finish. When the temperature sensitive bottle is chilled, the color of the design on the bottle changes from white to bright blue.
